I can log into my iTunes and manually add album artwork to my whole long list of albums I have or run this awesome program to do it all automatically. I have over 130,000 mp3s so do the math and figure out how many albums that is. I have completely lost count of how many albums that is but I know it’s thousands for sure!
So for that many albums how many days do you think it’s going to take me to add the entire collection of album artwork into my iTunes? One at a time looking into google images for the album artwork of an album. There’s just no way I want to even think about doing this tast on my own. It will be so huge and take so long.
Even for someone with half that collection or even a quarter of that collection of tracks/albums in your iTunes it’s going to take you hours and days to finish it. Manually is definitely not the way to go for adding album artwork to your albums in iTunes and to fix your iTunes.
Luckily there’s a great tool that could do that for you and do it great. It’s on auto pilot and does the gathering from their own database online of information on music. You just set it up and run it and go do something. Maybe if your library is as huge as mine then set it up and go somewhere. Let it run overnight or something and come back with your iTunes all fixed up. It’s the great iTunes Fix!!!
But the fixes it does doesn’t stop there. It does a bunch more stuff to your iTunes than just fix your album artwork. Here’s more important and necessary things it does to your iTunes which on the long run you need!
1. Fix iTunes album artwork
2. Remove duplicate songs
-this is something that is really annoying to me. I have so many albums and compilation which the compilations make room for overlapping songs. This makes it tough and not fun as I hear dupes here and there every so often. So this tool really helps with removing your duplicate songs in your iTunes.
3. Fill In Missing Artists, Years and Genres
-this again is very helpful. How many times have you had to type in info for an album that you didn’t finish all the way? So you probably stuck your CD in your computer and it didn’t come up with any info. You imported the CD as is and have been listening to it. Wouldn’t you like to have the info for that music? Hell Yeah!
4. Fill In Missing Song Details
-this again is very helpful. This fixes misspelled and missing artist, album, name, track, year and genre details and renames artists and albums with their correct format (i.e. “Dave Matthews Band” not “Dave Matthews”).
5. All automatic!!! Now this is the best part. No work on your part except for setting the darn software yourself and let it run. Go and do something else and come back after it’s all done.
